Here’s a fairly interesting interview with the guy who designed Barack Obama’s now-famous campaign logo. He makes a couple of good points about how the logo worked virally (new media is something the Obama campaign embraced wholeheartedly to attract young voters) and how “the design development was singularly inspired by the candidate’s message. Like any mark, the meaning and impact really come from what people bring to it.”
It’s also worth checking out the Obama website and looking at all the ways he gets his message across - blogs, videos, text messaging, networking sites, downloads etc.
